EMPLOYEE HEALTH BENEFITS

The information provided on this page is regarding the District’s medical insurance plan, including flexible spending, wellness programs, and provides other informational resources.  The Armona Union Elementary School District is proud to offer a generous and comprehensive health and welfare benefits package to all its eligible employees.

Eligibility - All active employees, in paid status, in a contracted classified position of 6 or more hours per day or in a contracted certificated position of 50% or more are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance as well as a variety of added value benefits such as employee assistance, personal health, and behavioral health coverage.

Effective Date of Coverage - Health benefits become effective the first day of the following month after the employee’s first day of paid service.  This coverage pertains to all medical, dental, and vision insurance plans the District offers.  All enrollment forms must be received in the Human Resources Office before the employee’s first day on contract.

Available Benefit Plans - AUESD offers 3 different health benefit plans to eligible classified employees and 1 health benefits plan to eligible certificated employees.  All health benefit plans provide the same coverage. Cost - Each health benefit plan is offered at a different monthly premium based upon which plan is selected by the elegible employee.  It is important to consider your faimly's needs and the cost of each plan in order to make the best decision. The premium for all health benefit plans is deducted from the employee's salary on a montly basis.
