Curriculum

Armona Union Elementary School District (AUESD) provides all students have sufficient instructional materials. When new instructional materials are being considered for adoption by AUESD a committee is formed that includes adequate teacher representatives from the appropriate grade level including special education teacher, site administration, and input from the community. The committee shall only review material that has been approved for adoption by the California Department of Education (CDE) and must follow the appropriate Board Policies and Administrative Regulations.

All piloting of instructional materials shall comply with CDE regulations and are subject to approval from the Superintendent. The District will not accept complimentary materials from publishers once they have been identified as an authorized vendor from the CDE. Training will be provided to teachers piloting instructional materials and their feedback will be presented to the Board of Trustees before the materials are adopted by the District.
