About the Program

Armona Union Elementary School District is a proud participant in the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program makes available free fresh produce to students during the school day to increase overall acceptance and consumption of fresh, unprocessed produce among children, and encourage a healthier school environment by promoting nutrition education.

Fresh fruit and vegetables are available Tuesday through Friday to grades K–4 during 1st recess. Breakfast at Armona Elementary is served in the classroom. Parkview breakfast is served during 1st recess. For more information about the program download the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program fact sheet below or visit the USDA website here.
